NumbrLabs was created from first-hand experience of building, scaling, and selling a business.
Like many growing SMEs, we experimented with different approaches to managing the finance function. We hired internally, worked with outsourced providers, relied on external accountants, and invested in technology. Each approach solved part of the problem, but none fully delivered the visibility, structure, and operational support needed to support growth.
That experience led to a simple question:
What would a finance support model look like if it were designed specifically around the realities of growing businesses?
NumbrLabs is our answer.
Most providers deliver a service. We believe growing businesses need more than that. They need someone to take ownership of the finance function, ensuring processes move forward, information is available when needed, and the operational burden does not continually flow back to the founder.
We combine bookkeeping, reporting, operational finance expertise, process design, and modern technology into a single support model built around accountability and ownership.
Our approach is shaped by practical experience rather than theory. We understand the pressures of managing cashflow, building teams, implementing systems, supporting customers, and making decisions with imperfect information because we have faced those challenges ourselves.

Mark O'Connor FRSA FCA
Entrepreneur, business leader, and advisor with experience building, scaling, and exiting businesses across logistics, ecommerce, manufacturing, retail, and service sectors.
Before starting NumbrLabs, Mark founded and bootstrapped a business from concept to a successful trade sale, expanding operations across the UK, USA, and EU. The business achieved B-Corp certification, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation, and multiple awards for innovation and service excellence. That experience continues to shape the NumbrLabs approach today.
Jason Callow
CFO, business leader, and transformation specialist with more than 25 years of experience driving growth, profitability, and operational improvement across engineering, manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors.
Jason has led Finance, Installations, Stores, HR, and IT functions, where he has delivered significant improvements in profitability, cash flow, business processes, and digital transformation. His experience spans strategic leadership, business transformation, shared services, ERP implementation, and commercial business partnering across UK and international organisations.
Throughout his career, Jason has successfully led change programmes, organisational restructures, growth initiatives, and performance improvement projects that have created sustainable value and enhanced business performance.
